Governing Body structure of NESTS<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The re-constituted Governing Body shall consist of following members:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Hon\u2019ble Minister, Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Chairman.<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Hon\u2019ble Ministers of State, Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Joint Secretary (EMRS), Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Financial Adviser, Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Deputy Director General, Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  7. Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  8. Director, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  9. Director General, Sports Authority of India – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  10. Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  11. Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Samiti (KVS) – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  12. CEO, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  13. One Principal Secretary \/ Secretary (Tribal Development\/ Welfare) from Schedule V States – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  14. One Principal Secretary \/ Secretary (Tribal Development\/ Welfare) from Schedule VI States – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  15. Director (General Administration), Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  16. Director (EMRS) in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs – Member<\/em><\/li>\n
  17. Commissioner, National Education Society for Tribal Students \u2013 Member & Convener.<\/em><\/li>\n
  18. Additional Commissioner and ex-officio Secretary of the Society – Member<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    • The Annual General Meeting of the Governing Body shall be held once a year at such time, date and place as may be determined by the Chairman to consider the Annual Report (including Annual Accounts) of the NESTS.<\/em><\/li>\n
    • Special meetings may, however, be convened by the Chairman, whenever necessary.<\/em><\/li>\n
    • One \u2013third of the members of the Governing Body shall form a quorum at every meeting of the Governing Body.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Functions of Governing Body:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      1. Governing Body will generally supervise functioning of NESTS to achieve the objects of the NESTS as set forth in the Memorandum of Association.<\/em><\/li>\n
      2. Governing Body will monitor the management of funds of the Society\/ NESTS and will have the authority to examine and approve the annual accounts.<\/em><\/li>\n
      3. Governing Body will stipulate, as and when needed, policies, rules and regulations for the functioning and management of the NESTS.<\/em><\/li>\n
      4. Governing Body will have the authority to make changes in the structure of NESTS, as and when needed.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
